Series directed and produced landmark BBC1 series that went back to back with Planet Earth. Followed characters across the British Isles and their experiences of the Great British Summer. They included a farmer growing the Wimbledon strawberries, a lepidopterist, a surfer and the owner of a down-at-heel Blackpool guest house. All this was set against what was happening in the natural world.
